Nitor Vino Bianco 2018 IGP 12.5% (White)
Farming of grapes: This wine is obtained from the Trebbiano di Lugana grape, grown in alluvial and clay soils. Located in Castel Mella, a commune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. A Guyot pruning system is employed giving a yield of 30hl/ha from vines with an average age of 25 years. The harvest takes place during the month of September.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and conferred to the winery. There follows the grapes being carefully sorted on a vibrating table prior to a gentle pressing under inert gas. After settling, the juice undergoes the fermentation at a low temperature for about two weeks. The wine ages on its lees for four months in stainless steel tanks in order to soften and gain complexity. Then the wine is bottled during the spring following the harvest.
